Jim Iyke who is a top Nigerian script writer and actor has explained why he left politics. Jim Iyke in an interview with Daily Post Nigeria, he disclosed that he has always had a passion for acting and politics and always wanted to serve the people no matter the post. He admitted to once delving into that aspect of leadership but came out due to some reasons. In his words, he stated that the compromises he had to make to be at the top can be compared to giving his life to the devil. According to him, he is a man of principle and cannot continue in such process. While speaking, he said that to engage in Anambra politics is like a jungle and like being in a different world.
According to his statements, it can be said that he does not believe in any godfatherism in politics as he mentioned that he does not want to be controlled by any one like a puppet by a godfather.
"I don't want to be consumed by politics", "I don't want to get stained" Jim Iyke said. From his statements, we can be sure that he is not getting in politics any time soon.
Aside from being an outstanding actor, he also has earned a lot of respect of Nigerians as he has bagged a lot of achievements to his name.
